1st set of Twins for me!

Fiona • I'm 27. This is my 5th pregnancy & it's our 1st set of Identical Twins. So kinda freaking out abit!

G'day!

I'm 22+4 with Identical Twin girls.

I already have 4 other children(boy 8, girl 7, boy 4, boy 2). I've been told since my eldest 2 were cesarean that I have to have another cesarean with this pregnancy eventhough my last 2 were vbac's. I'm scared shitless(sorry for language) of a 3rd cesarean as my 1st 2 were nightmares for me. Hence, why I pushed so so hard to get the vbac's I had. Is anyone else going through the same as me or even someone else having twins?? Would be awesome to be able to relate to someone else instead of feeling kinda alone feeling all this new stuff I'm going through.

I have not had twins, but my sister has had two sets and two great c sections. They let her hold the babies while they were seeing her up and everything went very smoothly. I have also had a very positive c section experience with a singlet. I am debating a VBAC or another c section, but not for lack of a great c section experience. Voice your wishes with your do its before hand. Hopefully this will be a much better experience for you!

A friend of mine gave birth to twins as a VBAC. Will your doctors even consider letting you try? Maybe seek a second opinion.

Thank you, Margaret :) I'm glad that you & your sister have had good experiences with cesareans. I was knocked out for both my Cesars but still ended badly :( I always express my dislike for cesars every pregnancy & most Dr's wont let me do natural birth because they're scared of my scars from the 1st two. I've pushed out an 8p & a 9p baby the last 2 times & scarring is still intact so I dont know why they're so scared for. =/

my 1st they couldn't get the needle in my back properly because of contractions. that 1 was emergency cesar. my 2nd they didnt ask what I wanted. they just knocked me out for that 1 as well =/ my 2nd cesar I woke before they got me back to my room I woke & started screaming as best you can been groggy etc because I was in pain & I kept saying I'm in pain over & over but the nurses & I think Dr's were just standing there a few feet away just chatting about whatever. thats another thing that scares me. even though I'm in a new town now it still scares me alot. and then the recovery :'(

Oh I'm so sorry. That sounds terrible. Do you have to be totally knocked out for this one? Can they do a spinal block?
