Brown CM with a sweet smell?

So my period was supposed to start on the 21st but instead I got a brownish looking period. Originally I thought it was just old blood but it's last like this for 3 days now and the amount is decreasing but yesterday night I noticed instead of no odor it's smells kinda like flowers or something sweet. I heard its an early sign of pregnancy. Any tips on what could be happening?
