Amount of Period Blood?

I got my first period ever last night and I have had a panty liner on for around 4 hours, and it is brown with no red at all. There also isn't much. How much blood normally comes out and is it meant to be brown?

I remember my first period. It was all brown with no red just like you. There wasnt much either. There's nothing to worry about. The heaviness of your flow is different with everybody. It will probably be irregular for a while too. Mine was irregular for the first 2 years.

It's brown because it's old & dried, so yes it's ok. Depending on a lot of things, your period could be very heavy or very light. It can change every month, so don't be freaked out about that either. After a while of you having your period you'll get into the swing of things & understand your flow better. And congrats ☺️

It's probably spotting. When I got my first period it was bright red and just over normal flow and then slowed down but that's just me

You're probably just going to be spotting for these first couple of menstrual cycles, sweetheart. Just like these other helpful ladies have said, not one cycle is identical to the other. Sometimes the heaviness of the flow can be determined by your differing levels of stess and hormones. Keep yourself hydrated, it'll relieve cramps and most other symptoms.
