Not to come to see the baby right away after its born.  Basically, with my first child, his whole family came to our house the day we got home from the hospital and it was really stressful on me as the mother.  They stayed for the whole weekend and my MIL continued to stay the week after even though I had my own mother there to help me.  I'm the kind of person who needs quite and private time with my newborn baby so I can bond and get rest.  I don't mind if they want to stop over for a couple of hours the day we get home, but then I would like them to go away for at least a couple of weeks while we get settled.  Is there a kind way to say this, but a firm way at the same time?  They don't really get subtle hints.  Thanks!
