What I wish I had on my registry.
These are all things I couldn't live without during the newborn stage and no one bought me/I didn't know to put on my registry. I'm posting this to hopefully help other future first time mommas.
First item is some type of swaddler. This one is particularly awesome bc it unzips from the bottom and is great for middle of the night diaper changes. The swaddle blankets are fine but my little one busts his arms out within minutes of being swaddled and let me tell you that startle reflex is no joke! I would recommend swaddling your baby even if they don't like it. They will get used to it and sleep longer!
Next, these cloth diapers. Use them as burp cloths. They are super absorbent and my baby spits up like crazy! I didn't think breastfed babies spit up much, but boy was I wrong.
Nipple Shield! (If you plan to breastfeed) I got mine while at the hospital from the lactation consultant which worked great bc they will get you the perfect size just for you. They are a life saver when your nipples need a break or are cracked.
Reusable nursing pads are great! The disposable ones are good too but these are a lot less wasteful. You won't need them right away but if you are using nipple cream they keep your bras clean. Eventually while you are starting to feed on one breast the other will start leaking!
Lastly, a pacifier. My baby only likes the soothie ones. Which we also got at the hospital bc the ones we bought he didn't like and sometimes babies just like to suck and I'd rather not be his pacifier.
These are my top 5! I hope this was helpful. :)
