Mother in Law Problems

Does anyone else just have the worst problems with the mother in law? My SO and I have decided on names for our little one so we were kind enough to inform everyone. Well when we informed everyone, she was the only one that seemed to have a problem with the girl name! My SO and I picked out on names and agreed on them together as a couple.. but she just insists that the girl name isn't good enough. I was just wondering how everyone went about resolving the mother in law issue without cutting her off completely!
