Not dating but I'm close with this guy. He's beyond nice has the biggest heart and he's tough all mixed into one. He's a kinda goofy guy and I like that it's cool. But sometimes he gets all serious over every single nitty gritty thing.

For example. We were hanging out at his place and he was picking on me so I turned and said "don't mess with me I can take you" and he was like "oh yeah what makes you so sure?" And I was like "I'm tougher than I look I can beat you up kid" and he was laughing and we were going back and forth. Next thing I know he's yelling at me because I took it too far by saying I accepted his challenge and that I could take him. His reason is because his buddy once got beat up and put in hospital and because of that incident he's very serious about fighting and stuff. And I was like I was just teasing. I even said I'm flirting with you I'm being goofy and he just snapped saying I'm a bitch for thinking I was funny for suggesting that I could "take him". Like come on! He's a bodybuilder and I'm a fat ass. I wasn't looking to kill him. I was flirting and thought maybe it'd be a good laugh. I really just wanted a pillow fight. But no. He then asked me to leave (this was like midnight and it's an hour long drive home for me)

Did I totally cross the line here? I need another opinion. I need another perspective please! I'd never actually hurt him. He's a big dude who's 5 years older than me. Did I screw up? I'm just really confused. Advice???
