When did you start your period?

Not sure if I have the most common or if mine is unusual had my first period on the ninth of this month. I am 12 right now.

The day of my 13th birthday. I ate some cake, went to the bathroom, then boom, first period. Happy birthday to me.

I was 12 when I got mine. I came home from school and I thought someone had spilt water down my pants 😂 I came home and then I yelled at my mum to GET IN HERE BECAUSE IM DYING 😂 when my mum told me what was happening u was like 😱 because I'd heard of it before but didn't think it would happen to me for some reason 😂 did anyone else think they were dying lol?

I was in year 7 (first year of comp) and I was 12, I felt like I needed to pee and went to the toilet and there was blood everywhere and I didn't have anything to clean up, luckily enough my friend was outside the door and she had pads, wipes and spare knickers that her mum had put in her bag just in case. I'm 19 now and still best friends with the girl :)

12 is the most common age to get your period. Although, usual ages are 8-16. I got mine when I was (well-I still am) 12.
