Can cats know when labor is close?

Question

My cat belle has never been warm to me, she prefers snuggling up with my husband but starting this whole weekend  she has started to follow me around, sit outside the bathroom door and just stare at me at random times. When she doesn't see me she meows until she finds me.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Could my cat be clingy now because she senses labor is near? I'm only 30 weeks tomorrow and prefer to keep cooking baby until full term.

My male cat has no idea he's getting a little brother soon. But I wonder if for some it's the warmth of the belly that attracts them. I feel like I'm running hot now in my third trimester. It's winter in NYC and yet I wear less layers and sleep under less blankets than my husband. Cats like warm things.

My cat liked my belly until one of the girls kicked and he fell off. He hissed at my belly and now won't sit on it. Lol miss my kitty cuddles. But I guess the girls weren't keen on the purring...

One of my cats has decided she wants to live on my pregnant belly. I am quite sure she knows or is picking up on some hormone. I wouldn't worry it's a sign of labor rather just her picking up on the pregnancy.

My cat is constantly snuggling my belly. When the baby kicks, he purrs. There's definitely a bond there.

Cats have very amazing intuition. Your cat may have just sensed you were carrying something that they are now drawn too. My cat that lives at my moms house (she didn't want to move with me lol) is getting more needy. My dogs are strange, the one that is my partners is now basically my stomachs dog i.e. The baby's and the one that is my dog keeps sniffing my boobs (I don't even understand....) they are very attached to me though so I'm not sure if it's labor they sense or just an attraction to your new smell

At least one of my dogs knows I'm pregnant. He always wants to snuggle up to my belly. It's cute. I read an article online that said our pets know we're pregnant, they can smell the hormon changes. 🤗

My best friend just had her baby Saturday.  On Thursday and Friday her dog sat at her legs whining at her.  Wouldn't leave her side and her cat kept licking her belly.  It was so weird.

She probably just senses your pregnant. I feel like my cat knows I am. He looks at me very oddly. Not to mention my other cat just vanished out of nowhere she ran out the house and never came back. This was in my 1st tri. She's a girl cat and I'm having a girl so I kind of feel like she got jealous. Broke my heart. Animals know! My friends dog used to hate me bark at me snap at me when I tried to pet her and the last time I went to my friends house, she was all over me. She even fell asleep on my lap. Which he doesn't even do with my friend at all.
