Do you want to know the price of your engagement ring?

Question

So most of us have seen the huge debate and debacle over the engagement ring from one post specifically and from other posts not to mention if your on Pinterest... So I'm just curios, would you really want to know? Why or why not?

Personally, I don't. I want everything to be a surprise and I could care less if the ring was from a .25 cent bubble thing. It means the world to know that out of anyone else, he chose me!

I voted yes because I would prefer if it the price wasn't extravagant because if they were careful with money it'd make me feel more comfortable at sharing a joint bank account.

I'm already married and share an account with my wife but when I proposed to her I bought a cheap $300 Walmart ring because I was working at my first job subway and couldn't afford more. Recently, we decided on a budget together and we both  went and picked out our own upgraded rings. I loved the way we did it!

It is something that came out of nowhere!!! He bought the engagement ring and the matching wedding band. He already knew my answer before he asked 😍
One day after work he came home(we had moved in a few weeks prior) and after dinner, I was washing dishes. When I turned to put up the dishes he was kneeling behind me and said. "When we moved in together, I told you I was serious about us. This isn't just to see where things go. I am in 100% and when I make plans for the future you are always in it." And he asked me to marry him. And it  being him of course I said yes. My plans for my future always included him as well.
His proposal and the rings were a complete surprise, and so amazing knowing he got me down exactly. I loved the style and he guessed my size correctly.(not sure how since i never wear jewlery) Part of me feels like if I ask or find out the price of them, it will take that mystery away. Even it it was just $5 our story remains the same. The price does not make your story. You do

I don't know how much my husband paid for my ring, but I know it wasn't cheap. I don't want to know how much he paid, because it honestly doesn't matter. There isn't a price I deem acceptable, and I trust him when he makes financial decisions. He picked it out by himself without input from my friends/family, and we had never discussed my taste. He nailed it! He literally got exactly what I would have wanted. It all made it special because I knew that he did so well just because he knew me so well

I know the price of mine. My husband bought the wedding and engagement rings together. Originally they were $3,000, but he got them half off. I would have preferred no money to have been spent on rings. That's how frugal I am.

My husband never actually told me how much he paid, but I know what it's appraised at bc we wanted to insure it. I know he didn't pay appraisal price, but I have an idea what he paid.

I was there when he bought the ring, we went together. I'm glad I did because he was going to over spend on something bigger just because the lady swore every girl wants a bigger ring. Besides to us it was special for us to pick out the rings together.
