I'm on Nuvaring, I started it on the 18th. I know you're supposed to use backup birth control for the first month. My question is, how likely is it to get pregnant on it? Failed to use back up last night and looked it up on google and a lot of baby center users reported getting pregnant on it. Some even twice... I wasn't ovulating but my fertile week starts tomorrow and I know sperm can live up to five days. Before anyone comments saying "if you don't want a kid use birth control", I am on birth control and I don't think right now is a good time to have a kid but if it happened it wouldn't be the end of the world. I'm asking because if there is a chance, will me keeping the nuvaring in right now cause any birth defects? Should I just be safe until af comes along?
