When is it time to go to a doctor?

My husband and I have been ttc for a year and a half. At first we just didn't use condoms and figured it would just happen. For the past 3 months I have been tracking my ovulation. Have we been trying long enough to see a doctor?

My doctor said if you are under 30 not to worry until you have been actively trying for a year. Over 30 they will see you sooner because of age!

They usually say when you have been actively trying for a year (some doctors are different-mine told me after 6 months; I'm now on 8). Actively trying meaning you are BD'ing with the intention of a baby. My husband and I for a year said we won't prevent getting pregnant but we won't try to make it happen. Then we started and have been actively trying (tracking bbt, OPK, Preseed, etc) for 8 months. So I would wait or ask your doctor what they think.

Usually a year within ttc. They will test you and your husbands sperm. They can also start you on a low dosage of clomid which helps most conceive within 6 months. Otherwise go back again and get bigger dosage.

I belive so my hubby and i have been trying  sence march and i finally  decided  to go to the doc... come to find out my uterus is tilted  backwards so it can only help in achieving  motherhood  ☺
