Yeast infection from birth control?

Question

Has anyone ever experienced yeast infection(s) from taking BC? I've had a few episodes without birth control and I'm thinking of going on it since me and my bf are getting closer (if you know what I mean 😉 haha). But I don't know how that will affect me if I've already had an infection. What have y'all experienced?

I am a diabetic (so already really prone to yeast infections) but when i was on birth control I would get them a lot. I started looking up stuff and I think I read it does change your vaginal environment, it's not as strong. Also remember about your boyfriends hygiene - does he dry his penis all the way? When you have sex has he showered at least the day of? Has he not washed his hands and touches his penis and spreads germs? 
Just sayin it may not be you sometimes it's the boy whose causing the yeast infections
