Ivf or unblock tube?

Hello I'm 32. I had a iui two months ago then two months just on the fertility pills no success. I went back to my dr. He's recommending ivf . He put me on birth control pills just in case I want to do it this month. Total cost 12000 . I wasn't able to get a loan. Now my question is if I should wait to save the money, I'm thinking this summer. Or should I just have my fallopian tube unblock. Has anyone had it unblocked? And how many months after that did you get pregnant? I just think that iui will not work for me .I think I will stop the birth control pills , it's causing me nausea. :(... another thing is I hate needles I don't think my husband and I will be able to handle them.another question how much is the procedure to unblock the fallopian tube and has anyone had any issues? Is it risky?

Hi there. I had my tubes unblocked during 7th October 2015. I'm still not pregnant though. The Dr. put me on clomid and femara ( combined) during December but still nothing.

i decided to skip one cycle as i was just so tired of fighting this fight. Will consider to take the meds next cycle, if I'm still not pregnant.

So ja, it's been months after unblocking my tubes and still no pregnancy. i understand that the tubes can become blocked again after a period of 3 -6 months. I think i should schedule another HSG to see what's happening.

If you can afford IVF I would do it. Can you save while going through the unblockage? If your insurance covers the unblockage then maybe you can save and do that procedure.
I have a blocked tube but too blocked. I did first round of IVF and got pregnant. Unfortunately I misscarried but luckily I have 6 embryos frozen now. Will try again soon!?

Do u only have 1 tube that's blocked? If so you can get pregnant naturally without IVF. My surgery was covered by insurance but it didn't work. After surgery your body builds up scar tissue when it heals so the tubes get blocked again after so long. I'm trying to unblock them naturally with serrapeptase for now, I can't get another HSG until the summer

My doctor successfully unblocked both tubes, but they blocked again within 2 months when I did the HSG to check. I found out through research that the Fallopian tubes are very fragile and easily develop scar tissue from surgery so the success rate of opening tubes up surgically is actually very very low. Now we are taking them out completely and going the IVF route.

do think know of it's an option for you, but men's warehouse/ Jos a bank has amazing fertility insurance they will cover up to 10k. If you could take a second full time job with them just long enough to get insurance and go through IVF that might be worth it. I highly recommend IVF, they weren't sure if my left tube was blocked or not we tried for 1 1/2 years with TI, then moved onto an IUI then IVF. I wish I would have done IVF sooner. Now I'm almost 16w pregnant :)

The shots are a piece of cake. I can give you a break down of my protocol:

Birth control until they tell you to stop- 5 days later had bleeding from stopping the birth control- 
Stim day 1-4 150 units follistim 6am and 6pm
Stims day 5-9 150 units follistim 6am and 6pm plus 1 ganirelix 6am
Stim day 10 1- ganirelix
Stims day 11- lupron trigger

Day 12- retrieval.

Doesn't include oral meds- after retrieval is the shitty shot if you get it- the progesterone in oil- ugh.

I hate needles too, but my BF has been the one going them. I got used to it quickly. The main medication is in a pen, not a syringe. I don't look down at the needle, I look away and I ice the area first for 2 minutes.
When I think of having my baby, getting needles seems like a teeny tiny price to pay... A bit like birth I expect?
Our 3rd cycle is planned to start this week in fact. Even egg collection didn't feel as bad or intrusive as I'd expected. It easy to psych yourself out.

I'm currently on ivf medications, so far I've done syringe injections and the follistim pen. I was really terrified at first but you get used to it and it's all for a good cause! :)
If you end up doing ivf I'm sure you will feel a sense of relief like I did once you get the first couple shots out of the way!
My doctor told me during our consultation that if the only reason you're unsure of ivf is because you don't like needles, then you should go through with it because they aren't as bad as you expect.

Sorry to hear you are having troubles. 
I had the procedure to have my tubes unblocked, but they only managed to open one. 
I fell pregnant 2 months after, unfortunately ending in a miscarriage. 
After trying again unsuccessfully, they found out my tube was blocked again. 
They suggested IVF, because there are no guarantees they could unblock it and if they did that I'd fall pregnant before it closed again. 
They also said I'd need the procedure done again every time we wanted to fall pregnant. 
We decided to go ahead with IVF, and I'm now 24 weeks pregnant.
