Can a baby be in the same room as a tanning bed?

I feel like this is a really stupid question but I really don't know..

I was thinking after my son is born I might go tanning to get a good base start for summer.. but is it safe to bring a baby 2 or 3 months old to a tanning salon if he's in his car seat and completely covered?

Sorry. Your Baby won't be calm in a car seat for over 30 minutes with no action..... You'll see... You won't have the time to go tanning I guess.... But wait until your Baby is born - than think again what's realy neccassary.

I used to take my lo to the sun beds with me. I'd leave her in the reception with a friend though not actually take her into the booth. Not just the uv but it's very hot

I'd hope the tanning salon wouldn't allow that. Also please look up base tans. They are a myth.

He should be fine I would keep him covered. It's just UV rays just like from the sun only way stronger.

Do you know the people who work at the tanning salon? Is it big or small.. Just asking because while it won't hurt baby to be in the room if you know the people they could keep an eye on baby for you, I take my kids to mine because its a very very small place and the 3ladies who work there get bored and will paint my girls nails or something as I'm only tanning for about 15min. Good luck though hun

Have a friend or family take care of him for like 10 minutes . You'll be better off that way

I would not recommend that. You're baby would get so hot being covered the whole time. Go with a friend instead & you can alternate who watches the baby while the other is tanning.

It can get so hot in those rooms. Absolutely do not take your new born baby in there!
