Positive after provera?!

So I'm very nervous! We have been ttc for 8 months. I was diagnosed with pcos and put on provera to start clomid. hpt 10 days ago before starting provera was negative. With no period 5 days after finishing provera I decided to test again and it was positive! I'm nervous because I'm not sure how it happened! Has anyone gotten pregnant on provera similarly?

I called my doctor and they said the provera shouldn't have affected anything. I must just be very early. I must be in denial that it could happen after all the issues! Thank you all!

The hpt could have been just too early 
Usually the provera helps bring on a period but the extra progesterone increase could have helped too

I'm not sure, does Provera affect pregnancy testing? I know clomid can give false positives but not sure on provera. Hoping good news!

Even if it is positive prover won't hurt the baby! I'd cal your doctor.
