Birth plan?

If I have a good relationship with my doctor do I really need to write out a birth plan? And what really goes on one anyway?

I loved having one. It allowed my husband and I to research everything and that way he was able to communicate my wishes when I was deep in labor land. I highly recommend making one. It doesn't mean that you're planning your birth, it means knowing where you stand when difficult decisions come up.

I had one written up for my last pregnancy and good thing I did cause my doctor ended up not able to be there at the birth!

I never had a birth plan! And I pregnant with number 4

If your doctor doesn't deliver due to unforseen reasons (they get stuck in other deliveries ), then yes. But know that your birth plan can change at your request.

I don't think so. I have a good relationship with my doctor and there are some very specific things that I want to happen. I just make sure I remind him every once in a while.
