Is 5'3 135 pounds fat?

I have been eating better and going to the gym. I definitely feel like I look different but the scale hasn't changed much. I never go by the scale, usually just how I feel. But when I saw 135 I was a little surprised.

You are probably toning and muscle weighs more than fat so could be why the scale hasn't changed

It's about how you look not what you weigh, you could be 160 and all muscle and look amazing or 140 and no muscle and just look chunky, I'd say you're fine. If you're worried about it just make sure you're eating well and getting some exorcize! I'm sure you're just fine the way you are!

Not fat!! Your BMI is approaching overweight but I don't usually go off of BMI, especially if you workout and are fit your muscle (which weighs more than fat) can skew your BMI high...

I'm the same weight as you and I'd like to be smaller. Before I had surgery I was 125 and I felt great. I'm working to lose some weight now. Definitely not "fat" though :)

I'm a little taller than you and I was about 140 pre-pregnancy, and I felt like I was heavy. Now imagine how I feel at 157(!!!) and a few months to go! Which some would say 157 isn't much difference, etc. It's all about how you feel in your own skin. If you feel comfortable and beautiful, rock on girl! If your weight is bothering you, only you can change your mind, either by diet/exercise until you feel good or by seeing the beauty in just being you. Take care!
