Is the first urine of the day really the best? I'm a day late and anxious. My friend had said you can test any time a day bc "if it's there in your urine, then it will be there all day" advice anyone?

For me the SMU was the best. Sometimes FMU is concentrated with the hcg from the day prior.

Yes, FMU is the best. FMU is condensed from accumulating all night. Especially if you are testing before your missed period. Your HCG level (if you're pregnant) will be low anyways. Then you add diluting your pee with liquids throughout the day and your HCG levels will be even lower. Hope this helps

When you first become pregnant and want to test its better to use fmu, because it's more concentrated and more of the hcg is present.

Mine was different like that too, when I found out I was pregnant with my youngest. I took three tests that day alone (I was in disbelief and denial.) I wasn't trying. Actually she was the result of an ATTEMPTED one night stand. I've never had a one night stand before and my ex had cheated on me, and I wanted to be with someone for a night. Met this guy a few days prior, and figured "Hey, why not.) We ended up actually liking each other and hanging out more.) He woke up at 5 am the Wednesday before my period was to start, and looked at me and said, " I had a dream that you're pregnant! I think you're pregnant. No, I know you're pregnant!" Which freaked me out because we only knew each other for two weeks. Mind y'all, I was actively trying in he relationship before him before my ex had cheated. I even had a miscarriage Feb 14 2010. I met my youngest's dad August of 2010.

Anyways point being...I took a test at 5:30 am and it came back faint positive. I took another test at 7:30 am, came back positive and darker. I called my sister at that point and told her to rush over to share in the excitement! I took another at 10:30 am when she had gotten there (she doesn't understand the concept of rush or on time! Lol) and it came back positive and even DARJER STILL!

But for most people I've heard FMU is the best because it's condensed.

FMU was never the best for ne, I got darker positves later in the day. 
But I have also always drank alot of water throughout the night so have always peed throughout the night where as during the day I wouldnt drink as much.

Wow! I find that chart quite interesting as well.  Definitely proves the fmu situation to be false since all times of the day showed positive when it was closer to when AF should arrive.
