Provera? 💊

Question

24, and TTC our first. Haven't had a period in 5 months, and was just prescribed Medroxyprogesterone (provera off brand) to get my periods to start back up since I've quit my birth control pill in August.

Has anyone taken this? What should I  be expecting? I'm hearing horror stories....

The side effect list looks a lot like normal tww/pms symptoms

It's kind of like payback for missing out on all the lovely side effects of being female - honestly it's the best way I can describe it 😃 but everyone's different and you probably won't feel everything all at once so don't worry

You wont hear any horror stories from me! Ive used it several times... my only complaint is that it did take a while for my period to start the first couple times. 10 days of pills and then it took me the next.10 days to start, so essentially I pretty much wasted a whole month of TTC. After a few rounds of provera my cycles are now starting on their own :)

Horror stories?? I've taken it 3 times and I've never felt anything from it. Your period might be heavy after that long of not having one!

I had to take provera like 3 months in a row last year (my menstrual doesn't want to start on its own around sept.-dec.) didn't have any side effects....it just got af to come
