Sterilizing bottles do you have to everytime?

FTM due in May... I've been reading up on this and read that you should sterilize bottles and parts before you use them for the first time and when baby is sick. Otherwise, hot soapy washer or a dishwasher is just fine.

i dont sterile bottles i have the ones have a bag and change every time and jush wash the nipple with hot water from the kitcken not put water to boil

Can all of u moms explain what u mean by sterilization??? I have four bottles n she feeds eight times in a day... N i I use d steam sterilizer once n just wash it with hot water d next time...that means I don't put d bottles in sterilizer every time... Is it ok if done this way...

I sterilized the bottles as soon as they're taken out of the package. After that, I'd sterilize them probably once a month. Although, I'm technically sterilizing them by using hot water whenever I wash them because I get cold easily.

But yeah, I strongly suggest you sterilize when you're going to use it for the first time. After that, you sterilize them whenever you feel like it; it doesn't have to be everyday. It's not a-must to sterilize them everyday.

For first time moms, how often do you sterilize?

No one will make you but it's better too I did with all my four kids there is so much bacteria on them it's better boil water sterilizes the bottle so your little one wouldn't have so much nasty stuff going on the mouth, I did it with all my kids and still they all got that while stuff in the mouth so imagine what would happen if I wouldnt baby's amune system is really weak aspecially after there just born I even would boil the pacifier every time it falls on the floor!

I normally sterilize bottles once a month just to be safe. I have never been able to breastfeed but I know with formula sometimes the formula can accumulate in the crevices if not cleaned properly. As I make sure I clean the bottles very thoroughly, I'm not always sure how other people wash them (i.e. My mom, sister or husband) so I'm just a "better safe than sorry" mom. 😊
