TTC after Ectopic Pregnancy

I was just wondering if anyone has had an ectopic pregnancy? If so how long after were you able to conceive ? I had an etopic pregnancy when my daughter was 2 years old. My tubes were not removed I wasn't far along so I was given three shots for the pregnancy to terminate and flush out. I followed up with my Dr. Who gave me the green light to keep trying after 3 months and several test. Everything was a-ok but I wasn't emotionally ready. My daughter will be 8 next year and we are have been trying for what feels like years (going on one) and getting a BFP seems impossible. Has anyone experienced anything similar ? If so how long did it take you to get a BFP or are you still trying?
