So I had my first miscarriage on Wednesday early hours - I was 11 weeks.

We're both coping well - it's not as easy as "Oh well, maybe next time!" obviously, but we're okay.

I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light for me before I ask a nurse at my scan tomorrow...

Before the pelvic exam I had to determine if my cervix was open or closed, I'd never had a pelvic exam. Never had the tool (can't think for the life of me what it's called, but it opens you up so the gyne can see) used on me before. That was lunch time Wednesday and today I've had a stinging/almost burning sensation when I urinate. Wondering if it's an infection that's just happened or if the pelvic exam could have stretched things and made it uncomfortable?

Any help/ideas appreciated.
