Grand Theft Auto 5???

Question

My husband has somewhat recently overcome a pornography addiction which I'm very proud of him for. He has asked me if I would be comfortable with him getting the game grand theft auto 5. Call me a feminist or old fashioned, but I'm not cool with my husband playing stuff with nudity and strip club scenes and things where women are seen as objects. Am I being totally ridiculous??? Or should he get the game?

My partner plays this a lot and doesn't even notice the hookers he just wants to drive around in the car and do missions lol. It's just a game. God if he's getting turned on my some cartoon woman then something is deffo wrong haha

It's only that kind of game if you make it that kind of game. If you actually play the story version of the game, there is more shooting, racing and escaping from things. I totally respect you for not wanting him getting into that when he just got off the other addiction. But what if you compromised and played with him? My husband and I play that game together and take turns playing missions. So far I can only remember one bad scene and it was only seconds and it was during my turn. Either way, you should both come to the same decision, just maybe if you're gonna say no to this, have a solution or another option ready some doesn't feel defeated. Just my thoughts :)

I don't know what that specific game is like (I only remember my brother driving cars and shooting people on the earlier games lol), but from your description I said no.. But I read Jenny's and she said it's only like that if you make it... So maybe as long as he plays it when you are around so he can be accountable since he is overcoming addiction now. That way he won't be tempted to chose the innappropriate aspects of the game, as opposed to the shooting and driving part of it. :)
