Well, anger is at the top of my list of emotions that lead to me being an asshole, sooo yeah. It's not "ok", but it means your human.

It's not ok but it's understandable. Over-emotional reactions are unfortunately part of life. If he's doing it every day or very frequently then I'd say it's really not ok.

People go he/she said that out of anger they don't mean it blah blah I say there's truth behind anger ...my husband & I don't go to bed mad each other & when we feel like our disagreement is going to escalate we walk away ...you can't take back words so try not argue when you are mad you may regret what you say & you may not be forgiven

Honestly it depends on what you mean. Saying something more harshly than you intend or snapping at your partner is very different from cussing out or using insults or abusive names.

Like my husband and I disagreed about something the other day. He snapped "why won't you just listen?" When frustrated. Not the best way to handle it. But not outside of normal frustration and he apologized quickly.

My ex however made a habit of saying the most hurtful degrading things he could just to shut me up. Once he went on a tirade in front of our kids and kept calling me a bitch (among other things) I told him it was not okay to disrespect me that way. Particularly in front of our children. My son who was 8 shrugged and said "I've heard him say it lots before" that was a wake up call to me. That behavior is abusive and unacceptable.

Sometimes he's acts like an asshole and sometimes I act like a bitch...we just acknowledge it and apologize if necaessary.  One thing we don't do is  tolerate name calling.

No. Just because you're angry, doesn't mean u should be disrespectful. I don't care how angry my SO gets, he'd NEVER sit there and cuss me out or anything. He might say some hurtful things, but he never means it and they aren't really that big of a deal. But there's no reason why someone should sit there and call others names or be completely rude just because they're mad. No excuses

No, it's not okay. It's never okay to be disrespectful to your mate. And if you are, apologies should be made.
