Is it really possible to give birth without even knowing you were pregnant?

I am fascinated by stories of women who gave birth and didn't even know they were pregnant. I don't understand how they don't feel the baby moving! Do you think it's really possible to have no idea? Or were they just in denial about their pregnancy? Have any of you experienced this?

Yes it's possible. Some woman have a more shallow or a deeper uterus then others. I can't remember all the medical names but I use to watch that show on TLC about it. It can happen. What I find interesting though is that almost every single one of those woman who didn't know, some drank, smoked, exercised, didn't take vitamins, slept on their bellies, or lifted things past the recommended weight during pregnancy and their babies were all full term and healthier then some of the ones with the vitamins and not doing the stuff you're told not to do that could put the baby at risk.

It's amazing to me how someone can carry to full term and never know they were pregnant! I was always pregnant from my eyebrows to my toenails...lol! Just further testament to the fact we're all very different :)

A pupil at the school I teach at had to help deliver his baby sister when his mum went into labour! No one knew she was pregnant, not even her! Another sibling woke up in the morning to meet their new baby sister!!
