Stitches inside vagina

Is it normal to see the stitches in your vagina? I gave birth 2 weeks ago. My baby's shoulder got stuck so I had a 3rd degree tear from my clitoris to my anus which required 25 stitches. I finally got the nerve to shave down there and take a look with a mirror. I noticed that I can actually see my stitches inside there. Is that normal? How long til they dissolve typically for my amount of stitches?
