Is there a specific reason why you have to start your birth control the Sunday of the week you're on your period?

They usually come with stickers that start with the actual day you start the pack. They have the days on there to help you keep track, so you dont miss a pill. But they do recommend you start the pack a certain day during your cycle to keep it normal and keep you protected, depending on what type you take.

You don't have to. You can start birth-control on any day, but you need to use condoms for the first week if you don't start on the first day of your period.

Because that's the beginning of your cycle. Introducing the hormones in the beginning of your cycle is the best way to go, where as if you start taking it in the middle of your cycle your body is going to be like wtf and your period might be all whack, but if you take it on the Sunday after your last period your next one will come on time on the pill breaks. It doesn't have to be a Sunday it just has to be the day right after your period end
