Am I being overly sensitive ?

My boyfriend made some mistakes when he was younger and has some legal things he has to take care of before he can start working for this new company that wants to hire him . So for the time being I'm paying for rent and house bills and groceries and stuff so he can't just save to hire an attorney to help him handle it all the proper way so he can get his dream job . Well he posted something online today about how this time next year he will be working his dream job and it's time to start working really hard to make it happen and he knows he will with hard work and with God by his side but no mention of me who's working my ass off and working extra hours when I can to make sure everything is paid for so that he can do that to better himself and our future and like im offended and feel like I deserved some credit . Am I being overly sensitive or would you be upset also ?

It's just a Facebook post. You should be more concerned with if he SHOWS how much he appreciates all your sacrifices and if he ever acknowledges it to your face.

If a man is giving praise to God then that's awesome and God should always come before you, even when/if you get married. That's my belief.

As far as what you are putting into the relationship.... It's great that you are being so generous and helping him, however, that type of dependency on you is not healthy. He should be doing all he can to pick up a side job that doesn't require all of the legal checks so that he can start to pay for his share. Do you want a man that is motivated and a provider or are you looking for him to depend on you? And... Hopefully he gives you credit and shows appreciation (not entitlement) in every aspect of your relationship, and vice versa. Just my two cents.

I would be upset if he said that he's the only one that is helping him and no one cares about him. It's just Facebook. He has an ego, and probably doesn't want to tell everyone he has to rely on you for everything.

It's clearly taking him time to get the job but he should have a job already now and he should be putting his fair share towards both of your needs.
