Rice cereal in formula?

My baby is 7 weeks old and just started crying all the time she acts hungry and will scream but refuses the bottle. Once you get her to take it she gulps it down because she is so hungry. People have suggested rice cereal but I feel she is too young. Any advice?

Anything other than breast milk or formula before six months is not recommended. At 7 weeks you could make baby sick. Try a different formula.

Too early for cereal. Make sure there's not something else wrong. And try a pacifier and swaddling.

Too early. We didn't start cereal until 4 months. And we only give one tablespoon a day. No other foods until 6 months.

Wayyyyy to early for any solid food! Their little bowels are not ready for solids until at least 4 months.

When my daughter was 6 weeks old the dr said I could use the oatmeal to settle her formula then my second child was born and did the same if it was okay for the first y not the second and their perfectly healthy

Try mixing half and half. start off 3:1 then 2:2 and if you need to switch do so. This has the rice starch which will help, although i have read it may cause constipation. I have yet to run into that issue. Goodluck!
