Monthly diaper/wipe costs??

Hey all,

I'm pregnant with my first and just wondering what I should expect to spend on diapers and wipes each month?? 
 (I'm not really into clothe diapers because I live in an apt that doesnt have a washer/dryer.)

I would say $150-200/m on diapers & wipes. You save money when you buy the biggest box or bulk. Trust you will use them all. Best gift ever at a baby shower is diapers believe it or not! So put lots of them all sizes on registry!

If your on Facebook yard sale sites or Craig's list you can make a post saying "ISO unopened diapers and the sizes you need." I did that 8 months ago when I found out I was pregnant. Since then I've met a bunch of couponers who have a huge stock pile and sell them for $5.00 a pack. I've bought 71 packages of pampers and huggies all sizes retailing $920.00. It cost me $380.00. The deals are out there and people are willing to sell their overage. Some people just want to sell what there kids out grew. Start looking! :)

You do cloth diapering and have the diapers laundered for you . There are diaper services depending on where you live.

When dd was a baby we spent $45 every 3 weeks just on diapers for a little while.  We switched to cloth.  I would check Costco, Sams, and Amazon for bulk boxes.  Most of the time that way is cheaper.

I buy two of the large boxes of Parents choice ($30 total) and a large box of wipes 500 ct ($8) and that's it. And I change my boy very frequently.

Depends on if brand name is important to you, I used huggies with my first and it was pricey, I used off brand with my second, (parents choice)and bought big boxes and i only spend about $30 a month on diapers and wipes aren't expensive either, as long as your baby can handle them and you don't mind, it can be a lot more simple then people make it.. My second was actually allergic to pampers and huggies and ironically only off brand didn't cause reactions and then I was like.. Well jeez why didn't I do this last time? Lol

Depends on where you shop. We spent about $120 a month for diapers and wipes for the first 6 months. After that, she became pretty regular with bathroom breaks. We are potty training and spend about $75-$80 a month. (If you have a Kroger, they are 90% of the time cheaper than Walmart. Also, don't buy at Sam's. They average out to $2+ more than if you buy a smaller bulk box at the regular store.)
