Am I wrong?

My father punched me a couple months back after an argument.Giving me a black eye & bloddy nose. My nose hasn't been the same since, at nights I wake up gasping for air, & it bleeds randomly a lot. One nostril is swollen and the other one normal. In the morning I brought it up & told my dad ( who doesn't speak to me) that I'm gonna go to the doctor for it & that I would pass him the bill. My mother said " I got hit because, I deserved it" I couldn't believe this. Am I wrong? Or is she?
