Does your SO go together with you for scans?

Hi there.

Just wondering if it's 'more normal' for SO to go for ultrasound scans with you or they don't go, and you go alone?

I feel like I'm alone in this, going for scans alone all the time 😞

I mean, I understand work comes first, and it's always on the day where he is busier than usual..

So far my husband has come to all of them. He has been able to get work covered if he needed. I love that he comes with me. I like that he is there while we are trying to figure everything out and make a baby together. Plus another set of ears never hurts.

He came to the main 3 scans (dating, gender and anomaly scan) but the others after that for growth with my gestational diabetes I just went alone which I preferred as he just moans on how long the doctors have you waiting and our eldest used to mess about

I understand how u feel my So has only went to one scan with me and that was the gender scan and as soon as he knew what baby was he was out but j can't blame him either he's a first time dad and the closer this pregnancy comes to ending the more nervous he's getting plus their were me my mom his mom my daughter and two techs in a tiny ass room and he doesn't do people and definitely not in small spaces

Yes. He has to drive me most of the time bc of my migraines. Luckily, he works second shift or else I'd be screwed.

I work an hour from home. My doctor is halfway between the two. So I either make my appointment for the morning and go to work after or for the afternoon and leave work a bit early. He would like to go but it's easier like this saves time and gas. He did make it to one of my scans though.

My husband goes and sometimes he doesn't.. Depends on his work schedule. Not a big deal for me.
