A Cup

Anyone here use a menstrual cup? I've never heard of it until today and I googled it and it just seems weird to me. More weird than using a tampon. I understand how it works, I just don't see why its preferred over tampons. It seems more. . . gross than tampons. I don't know. I find it odd. Not trying to offend anyone that uses it. But could you give me any input? Is it more or less comfortable than wearing a tampon?
