Infection

I am 18 weeks pregnant and I have had a uti basically during my whole pregnancy so far. I've always seem to have one everytime I go to hospital or urine test. But a week ago my Dr gave me shot to help it go away buy today I had to pee 4 times in 3 hours and once round 930 but I had pain in my upper right and lower left part of my stomach while urinating than hurt still but only as sharp pains. They told me if it not taken care of it will lead to kidney infection, but they never told me if it was gone or got worse. Does anyone know if it might got worse since im hurting and having to urinate alot earlier?
