How often do you nurse your newborn?

I'm a FTM and I am just going absolutely crazy. My son is 5 days old. I am nursing him CONSTANTLY. About once per hour sometimes more. It's not the nursing I mind, I just feel like why isn't he getting full? I seem to have a ton of milk.
He seems to latch very well, he eats, I switch sides, he pulls off by himself end seems fine and then ten minutes later is screaming and wiggling his way down to my breast again or eating his blanket. 
I heard this can be fed? I've tried bicycling his legs. 
If this is normal I think I'm ok but I feel like he's not getting full and that worries me. We have even been giving him a small bottle of formula at night just because I want to be sure he is eating somethings. Even after the bottle he is still looking hungry .please help in so frustrated.

Sounds 100% normal! With my newborn I often felt like what's even the point of stopping feeding because he'll just be hungry again in a couple minutes! Haha

Sounds normal. Hang in there! Newborn tummies are TINY, plus they are trying to build your milk supply. Milk is supply and demand, so if you do decide to give formula, make sure you pump, otherwise your body will not realize it has missed a feeding and will start to produce less. Frankly, though, it sounds like you are producing enough and that baby is behaving normally. It gets easier!

This is 100% normal for a newborn. He's got a very small tummy and your breastmilk processes very quickly. As long as he's gaining weight he is getting enough. I would stop giving him formula at night if possible. He shouldn't need it. If he needs more from your breasts he will cluster feed to signal to your body that he needs more. It'll slow up around 4 weeks. Hang in there momma!!!

Are you sure he's actually hungry and not just wanting the boob for comfort?

My son still does this sometimes at 8 weeks, I think it's a comfort thing
