He doesn't know my birthday?

My boyfriend of a year and a few months didn't know my birthday when I asked him yesterday. Do I have the right to be very angry right now? He's trying to make me feel bad because I told him how embarrassing that was. He blamed it on "being a guy". I'm so annoyed!

Some people just don't find dates as important. I hardly can remember my own parent's birthdays. I don't think it's worth freaking out over. Just write it on a calendar for him, help him remember it, cut him some slack

I don't think "being a guy" is a valid excuse, however, I will say this: my man would always confuse my birthday with being on the 31st instead of the 30th. He always would figure it out but for some reason the 31st just sticks with him. We are now married and been together for 7 years! I've never gotten mad though. I think its funny. As a matter of fact, we had the bank on speaker because we were changing our personal information and the lady asked for my husbands birthday - I told her what it was and my husband starting laughing. I said the wrong date and literally forgot what it was! He had to chime in after letting me struggle for a bit. Haha. At the end of the day its just a date. I think being "very angry" over something like that is silly - I promise you there will be bigger problems in the world than that. I'm sure it was a some mistake and it doesn't determine how much he does or doesn't love you.

In all fairness my boyfriend of a year can't remember his own birthday so I've never expected him to remember mine lol 😂 He's a little useless with thing like that. However I'd still be mad if he didn't rember it tbh x

I mean it depends on context but some people are just really bad with dates, I'm certainly one of them. I always remembered what month my SO's birthday was in, but I'll admit it took me several years to commit to memory which actual day it was. Judge me all you want but it wasn't because his birthday wasn't important to me, celebrating special occasions and giving presents is one of my biggest joys in life.
