Confused?!?

So I haven't had my period this last month (January) and I had a weird one in December (lasted only a day not normal and cramped for an entire week before). But my period was supposed to start Jan 30 according to flow and it hasn't happened. But this weekend my husband and I had sex sat and sun day and Sunday right afterwards I was cleaning myself up and the fluid was a light pink. I thought I had started my period so I used a tampon just because I didn't want to wake up in the middle of the night. This morning there was nothing there. I'm confused?! I have a dr appt on Wednesday but I don't want to get my hopes up and try a pregnancy test because every time I take one I start my period so idk what to do! 👎🏻
