Implantation or early period?

Trying for baby number 2. Started bleeding Thursday a week before period is due. It is much lighter then my normal period. Today is going on 4th day and still bleeding lightly. Can it be implantation bleeding or a early period. Not heavy enough to use tampon. Put pad one pad on during day and that is all I need took test and came out negative can it still be to early to test.
