Finding a Pediatrician

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and looking for a pediatrician or family doctor for the baby for after she's born in April. I've got a few doctors that people I know have recommended to me and everything I've read says that I should interview the doctors before I decide which one I like, but I have no idea how to do this! Do any of you have any experience with this? Do I just call their office and say I'm looking for a doctor and ask if I can talk to someone? What do I tell them if I end up liking the doctor and want them to be my baby's doctor?
