Why are some people so rude with little kids
I took my five year old to the fair yesterday. The South Florida Fair enormous and has very few bathrooms. My five year old signed to me that he had to use the potty. He has apraxia, so we are still working on speech, but that is another topic. It took us about 15 minutes to find a bathroom and the lines were super long. After waiting in line for a few minutes he was no longer able to hold it and we were now one person away from the bathroom. He was holding his himself while trying to wait. I asked the woman in front of us if he could go ahead of her because he was going to pee his pants. She would not let him go and said that she was waiting longer. The bathroom attendant saw what was happening and told her "You could hold it better than that baby could." She ignored it and wouldn't let him use the bathroom. I could totally understand if she said "I have an emergency and can't wait." We got into the bathroom stall just as he peed in his pants. As we were washing our hands the woman was just finishing washing hers as well. The attendant asked me if everything was OK. I had to tell her that he peed his pants waiting to get into the stall. The woman who wouldn't let him go didn't even look at us and walked away. I was so upset because I know for a fact that I would never treat a child that way. Anyone experience similar situations with cruel "adults?"
