Formula sitting out ??

Question

I feed my baby formula and breast milk. On the formula box it says it's good for 2 hours sitting out then discard. Sometimes I make more than my baby eats because he acts more hungry than he is. I leave what's left out for the next feeding. Anyone do this? There would be a ton of waste if I threw out every left over amount he didn't eat after two hours.

If the baby hasn't touched it it is good for 2 hours, but if they have drunk from it than its good for an hour from when they've touched it. Maybe make a smaller amount and then just make a bit more if needed.

Just premix the formula and put it in 2 - 4oz bottles in the refrigerator. Depending on the brand you can keep it there for 24 or 48 hours. Start off doing just a small amount until you get a better idea of how much your baby is using.

Don't let it sit longer then the instructions say and still feed it to the baby, that's very  important. You can make the baby sick.

You can always buy the ready to go formula, store it in the refrigerator and fill bottles as needed. It only takes 30 seconds to warm formula.

Make less and if he's still hungry you can always make more formula. I wouldn't feed it at the next feeding and take a chance. It makes more sense to make less and add more if necessary

I dump it after an hour if I leave it sitting out...but you can keep it refrigerated for 24 hours :)

I dump it after one  hour sitting out per the formula we use. To cut back on waste we do smaller more frequent feeding or if she powers through one bottle I'll make her some more
