Went to my first appointment yesterday at exactly 8 weeks (according to LMP). At first the midwife couldn't find anything (with transvaginal ofc) so she called another one to help. The two of them could after several minutes find the gestational sac but no baby. Then they looked and looked (for what seemed like hours) and at some point found some grey mush somewhere there, but no heartbeat and definitely too small and vague for 8 weeks. The appointment finally ended with me scheduling a new one in two weeks. The midwife didn't seem too worried at all and thought that I just had concieved later, but I'm so upset and frustrated. Don't know what to do. My cycle wasn't really regular after pills and got my first positive only at Jan 17th — cycle day 38 i think, but it still should be big enough to see I think.. Really don't know what to do. Those weeks that I have to wait seem like years. As I also am a fifth year medical student I know the odds...

Also have had some on and off light brown spotting.

Hoping that maybe some of you could share some success stories or something positive...
