Long Term Birth Control After Baby!

Cait
Hey Everyone! I am a FTM and just had our sweet baby girl 1/4/16 and I'm getting close to going in for my 6 week check up in which my doctor wants me to have my birth control preference picked out. My husband and I are pretty much 100% positive we want to be a one child family so Bianca might be an only child by choice. I am only 28 years old so I don't want to have my tubes tied or let my husband get a vasectomy just in case we change our mind down the road. I'm thinking about an iud or an implant but have heard random horror stories about Mirena? (I think?) don't know how true they are though. I'm pretty much open to anything but have read the implants/IUDs are more effective in preventing pregnancy and of course I wouldn't have to remember a pill everyday, which with the newborn im lucky if I remember to brush my teeth lol.  Just wanted to see if anyone had any good advice on the matter. :)
Thanks in advance
