Hysterosalpingogram

Krista
Im 32yrs old and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 7 months. Since stopping the birth control pill I've had several different issues including ovarian cysts. Now my period which is a regular 28 day cycle even with cysts just decided not to show up this month. I tested several times at home at at the doctor's office and they all come back negative. SO devastating! Today my doctor is sending me for blood work on day 3 of my period if it ever comes, and a hysterosalpingogram which also requires my period show up in order to schedule that test at the proper time in my cycle. If it doesnt show in a month they will force it with medication so I can have that procedure. Has anyone had this procedure? If so what did it uncover and what was the course of action taken to remedy the issue? I have constant abdominal cramping similar to menstrual cramps but not quite the same, some days are more uncomfortable than others. Im convinced that its something with my uterus but my flow is normal and up until this cycle I've never missed a period. Im looking for any insight that you may have to offer. Thank you! :)
