Am i in the wrong?

So my boyfriend and I had this friend that we were both friends with, but she started causing a lot of drama between us and almost made us break up a few times. Well my boyfriend said if I wanna be with him, never talk to her again. That's fine. I would much rather have my family than someone who starts stuff between us. Well our kids are friends. She messaged me on fb and said they should still be able to be friends. I agreed. I told my boyfriend and he agreed to and just said my son wasn't allowed at her house. Well I messaged her on fb today and asked if her daughter could come play today. I told my boyfriend and he FLIPPED! broke up with me for messaging her and told me to get out of his house. Am I in the wrong for messaging her just so our kids could still be friends?
