Who's in the room?

Question

During my labor I'm fine with friends and family visiting but when I'm delivering and pushing I want NO ONE. My mom insists she gets to be there, I've made my peace with that. But now my GRANDMA assumed she gets to be in the room too! I'm so not okay with this! Then she convinced my grandpa to want to be in the room. I'm not okay with either. Have you guys dealt with people wanting to be in who you don't want? Who do you plan on being in the room?

I'm with Krista! If they weren't there for the making they aren't going to be there for the delivery! Put it in your birthing plan who is allowed in and when. I am not to be bothered by anyone until 1-2 hours after delivery. I want us to bond with out daughter before in laws and my parents come in.

Yeah only have whoever YOU want in there if you want to be alone then let everyone know you don't want anyone in till after your done pushing thats totally fine and your choice they shouldn't assume they are just allowed to go in there thats totally rude, me personally im okay with only my babys father and my mom being in there and upset a few people by telling them that they can't come in but they gotta get over it because i don't wanna feel uncomfortable while giving birth by having a ton of people and let alone people i just dont want in there this is a private time for some of us and thats perfectly fine

My husband is gonna be the only one in that damn room! lol i wont have nobody come in right away i plan on spending some time with just baby husband and i by ourselves before anyone is allowed. I dont want to be overwhelmed so i will be telling everybody they are allowed one hospital visit during the time i be there. Then As soon as we get sent home nobody will be allowed to visit us for 2 weeks so that my husband and i can have that skin bonding time.

You have to be firm! My mother assumed she would be in l&d when it is time but I told her no it will only be my husband and I. My mother got upset and tried making me feel guilty of keeping her away but I told her this is bonding time for my husband and me.

I honk you should have who u want in there.  My first child it was my hubs n my mom. It will be the same this time but I know women who have had 3-4 ppl in there with them. It's all about whAT YOU  are comfortable with and no one else. So if u want more or less ppl the that's what you do!  Don't let anyone try to force their way into your delivery.
