People saying name wrong

Nicole
I really wanted to name our baby girl Fallon but my s/o didn't like the spelling and thought people would pronounce it wrong. We spelled at as Falyn thinking it would be easier and now it seems like no on says it right. Do you think we should change it or is it just because its not so common?

Okay it had it as an alternate spelling for Fallon and I figured it looks like it wouldn't br mistaken as Fay-lyn so maybe we will have to rethink it

I pronounce Fallon like Fal-in (like Jimmy Fallon). Falyn to me looks more like Fay-lyn.

Fallon is actually common where I am. Are the pronouncing FayeLynn? Or Fallen?

I spelled they wrong. I mean are people who see it saying it like that? I love the name. I especially get annoyed when they pronounce it "felon." No.

Looks like it would be pronounced Fay-Lynn.. i am all for unique spelling, but i dont think this would be correct for the name your wanting.

I like Fallon and the just as it's spelt pronouncation! This baby is Isobel and people keep saying Isabella, Isabel, Isabelle, etc. there's an o in it for a reason. I like the proper pronouncation of Isobel. If I wanted Isabel I'd name her Isabel!

I'd pronounce these two names differently, but as an adult, you mostly verbally introducing yourself, so it should be ok, but both could have issues (caveat: that's not a common name where I'm from)I'm of the school of "spell it like it's pronounced, dammit" and "don't get mad when people can't pronounce it / spell it because you've decided to be unique"My cousins kid is named Aleczander and I hate it.

We debated this name the same way! We chose the spelling falynn....I still feel like ppl would mess that up lol. Fallon to me I think will be called fall -on.
