Should I take plan B?

My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex the day after my period ended and he pulled out before he ejaculated. According to my app I'm not supposed to ovulate for another 8 days, but I typically ovulate a week before my period comes. If I was just going off of what my app says about when I'm supposed to ovulate, do you think I should get plan B? Or am I in the clear since it was right after my period?

I think you're good actually. Most women don't go into their fertile window til about day 10 or 11, and even at that, the egg won't be released until about day 15 or 16. He also pulled out, so yeah their could have been sperm that survived but they'll die in 3-5 days.

But yeah I mean if you want to be 100% sure, go ahead and get the plan b.

Honestly, it comes down to how long you've been tracking your ovulation and how much you trust your body to be consistent with your cycle. It sounds like you'll be fine, the only issue would be if you ovulated early AND there were sperm in his precum, both of which are unknowns but not super likely. If a pregnancy would be the end of the world for you plan b might be a good choice, but keep in mind that it will also mess up your cycle, meaning that you won't be able to use ovulation tracking for at least a month.

If money isn't an issue (Plan B is a little pricey $50) then you can always take it for a peace of mind. That's what I did. It won't hurt you. :)
