How long did you wait to have sex post partum?

I'm 3 weeks post partum and honestly can't wait to be intimate again. When's the earliest you had sex or did you wait the recommended 6 weeks? I had a vaginal delivery with no rips/tears or stitches.

Normally I'm a huge proponent of waiting till after the doctor gives the all clear, but we didn't make it to 4 weeks before we were back in the saddle.  We were very cautious and it was a bit tender down there, but all in all felt great. Remember that if you still have lochia you are more prone to infection and you will ovulate sometime between 2 and 6 weeks pp (typically)...otherwise,  do what feels right.

I had sex 4 weeks pp (per the doctors clearance) and I had had an episiotomy. It was great!

We had sex a month after my daughter was born. I didn't tear and stopped bleeding around 3 weeks. It didn't hurt at all. I can't wait to have birth control again so we don't have to use condoms! Lol

I had sex for the first time at 10wks pp. i had an uncomplicated epidural free vaginal birth with a second degree tear but having sex still hurt so bad. It felt like I was swollen and bruised on the inside. I'm 12wks pp now and am still scared to do it again.

My doctor said after bleeding stops then we can start again. At 3 weeks it stopped so we had sex & I bled everywhere & continued to bleed for another week after. I had a c section though so I'm not sure about vaginal. Just take it easy the first couple times

2wks with my first, 3wks with my second. I was cleared at 4 wks and my dr said tgar since i wasn't bleeding anymore at 2/3wks, had no tears and it didnt hurt, he thought it was fine. With my first, i felt tender and my second i felt totally normal a couple days after delivery.

Vaginal birth. I tried having sex 5 weeks pp and it hurt. I was so dry. Midwife told me hormones will dry you out so she sent me home with a bunch of lube. I tried it again at 7 weeks and it hurt at first but it got better after a few minutes.
